Nature Volunteers – Sri Lanka (NV)
Working together for Sri Lanka.
In June 2006, the programme of the "Nature Volunteers" was started by the Nature Conservation Society (NCS), Sri Lanka. It was registered in December 2006.
"Nature Volunteers" is a volunteering programme in Sri Lanka for voluntary helper, volun-tourists, trainees, students and interested people that want to participate in and support nature and community beneficial projects, including environmental awareness programmes as well as wildlife conservation and social activities.
The "Nature Volunteers" are involved in programmes and activities relating to children's education and welfare, community development, environmental care, disaster relief, general welfare, etc., partly in cooperation with other organisations (e.g. NGO's) and institutions (e.g. homes for the elderly). The focus of these programmes lies on environmental education and awareness, nature and wildlife conservation as well as on community based work (social work).
Support nature and mankind - learn about people, history and traditions, different cultures and religions in Sri Lanka - explore a new world - make life-changing experiences and find new challenges for your life.
